Arrest and Booking

When someone is arrested, they are taken into custody and transported to the local police station for booking. During booking, personal information is collected, and charges are filed.

Initial Court Appearance

After booking, the arrested person is scheduled for an initial court appearance. The judge reviews the charges at this hearing and sets a bail amount. The amount is based on the severity of the alleged crime, the defendant's criminal history, and other factors.

Posting Bail

Bail is a financial guarantee that the defendant will appear in court as required. The bail amount can be substantial, making it difficult for many individuals to pay without help from a bail bondsman. This is when you should contact AAA BailMaster Bail Bonds.

We require a non-refundable payment, which is a small percentage of the total bail. Then, we will post the full bail amount with the court to secure the defendant’s release.

Who is Liable for the Defendant?

The bond company evaluates the financial stability of the person who wishes to co-sign for the defendant. The co-signer and the bond company are financially liable for the defendant. The worst-case scenario is the defendant fails to appear in court. When this happens, the prosecuting body of the designated court will file forfeiture documents and notifies the bond company, whereby the bond company notifies the co-signer for the bond amount and any related legal expenses.
The best-case scenario is the defendant remains in contact with the bond company and appears on scheduled court dates. When the presiding judge finalizes the case, the co-signer and bond company are no longer responsible for the bond amount.
